[matt listens to the sound of her running behind her, and then the twip of her webshooters. he has no idea what they are, but he knows he doesn't want to get caught by them. he dodges all of them, weaving between the webs from the sound alone. it's simple - like dodging shuriken.

[the second her hand is on him he's pulled a knife out of his cane. the one he has as an adult is a little more exciting than the one he's used to, but he'd already figured out all the weapons in it well before she got here. he's got the knife up to her neck as she closes her hand around him but he doesn't try and cut her.
